HealthIM is a software company based in Kitchener, Ontario that supports police interactions with individuals suffering from unmanaged mental health challenges in an acute state of crisis.
Founded by University of Waterloo graduates, the company combines clinical evidence-based screening instruments and rigorous cryptography standards to support front-line patrol in providing an informed and empathetic response to crisis calls.
HealthIM is dedicated to building stronger communities by providing a high-quality and meaningful software platform to police officers. Every police agency we support is devoted to supporting their community and each member of our team is committed to helping these efforts.
In 2015, HealthIM was admitted to the prestigious Velocity program, a high-tech incubator run by the University of Waterloo. Now housed in Communitech’s Tannery building in downtown Kitchener the company has since won additional funding competitions and was the recipient of a major Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care health technology fund grant.
